Kobe CX183-8 (models CX1830GS CX1836GS CX1842GS) stand alone, 30, 36 and 42 inch wide, wall mount, 1/4+ inch thick tempered glass, canopy vent hood with seamless construction #430 commercial 18 gauge satin finish stainless steel adjustable flue chase.
Features electronic controls with a digital LED readout and timer, 7 inch round exhaust, twin centrifugal squirrel cage fans with plastic damper, easy to clean oil catchment, two 20 watt halogen lights, electronic controls, and a timer.
Please note that a 20 watt halogen light puts out 320 lumens, which is equal to a 35 watt incandescent light bulb.
The two speed control has a low setting (400 cfm at 1.3 sone) and high setting (600 cfm at 2.8 sone).
All Kobe hoods are metric widths rounded to inches - consult diagrams for exact sizing.

RD-0183 RECIRCULATING KIT option for Kobe CX183-8 is available for $240
When you can not run a vent pipe outside, Kobe offers a $240 recirculation kit RD-0183 for their CX183-8 glass canopy hoods. RD-0183 ductless venting kit includes T-box, carbon filter and carbon filter frame. Vent slots are cut in sides of upper/inner duct cover about four inches from ceiling for the recirculated air to escape (as directed through T-Box). The hood itself is the exact same unit but vent capacity is reduced down to 280cfm and 420cfm. Extended distance of duct cover (overall height) is the same, but the RD-0183 kit does reduce the minimum height by two inches (see spec sheet below). Client supplies only the short section of vent pipe to connect blower to T box (common flexible aluminum pipe is often used). We are waiting for better images before posting item on website, but do have them in stock. |

Warranty and Shipment of Kobe Range Hoods
Kobe range hoods are kept in stock and typically ship the next business day.
If a hood model is Out of Stock, notice is posted in bold red text above shopping cart button for that particular unit.
After your new hood is in transit, we automatically email tracking information with estimated delivery date and contact information for the trucking company.
We have always enjoyed working with Kobe and trust you too will find their customer service very helpful, should you ever need it.
And if history is any judge, you may well never need any parts or service.
Kobe engineering and construction has proven extremely reliable over the years.

Kobe keeps parts in stock and reacts quickly to customer needs.
One of the high points of their warranty - and quite unique amongst hood manufacturers - is they provide on-site service calls as part of their warranty.
If need be, they will do their best to sub-contract one of your local independent appliance repair centers for a service call.
Shipping the entire unit back for repair is the last option for Kobe, not the first and only option found with most other hood manufacturers.
